All right. So here’s a preview of Invasion of the Pines 2011, an annual event that grew out of a protest that started in 1976, when a drag queen was denied service at a hoity toity establishment in the mostly gay community Fire Island Pines. See, the Pines was a bit snooty and conservative compared to the other gay community on Fire Island, Cherry Grove. When the drag queen’s sistas in the Grove heard what happened, they all dressed up in drag, jumped on a ferry and stormed the Pines. It’s just gotten bigger and crazier ever since.

From FV Events (Tony Fornabaio and Brandon Voss) and Josh Wood and Jared Needle came a ridiculously huge Australian themed Pride party attended by thousands of shirtless men. Here is a preview. You can see the rest here in Time Out New York.

This is where I’m gonna be taking photos during NYC PRIDE. It’s going to be sick. There are so many great parties going on this weekend, and I wish I could go to all of them, but the following ones are hands down going to be awesome, and I hope to see you all there!
